Dave turned me on to a cool literary pub on my birthday called Conduit. The inspiration worked! The writing, the writing is happening, with pen and paper, not online.
That said, I'll be singings songs old and new later tonight with Steven Andrew Kacsmar and Lisa Graciano at Mama Buzz cafe, old home of the Bay Area's now-defunct literary magazine Kitchen Sink (several issues of which feature some of my essays). Conduit is of KS's ilk: indie, attitudinal and full of surprises (kind of like how I feel today). There'll be old issues of KS lying around the cafe tonight, I'm sure, as well as tunes, good coffee and grub. Come on down.
