September Songs

September is shaping up to be all about the song. New songs, recording songs, learning songs, work-shopping songs and playing songs at several Bay Area Showcases. Not that this is unprecedented in these parts: August wrapped up with recording session (more on that soon :D) at one end of the week and a song circle at the other. Yes, songs do seem to be the through-line of the moment. There's nothing quite like hearing a bunch of other songwriters sharing their originals to get a full spectrum of human experience. September began w/sharing a show with blues guitarist (and occasional co-writer) Alex Walsh, who always makes me laugh as his perspective is so different than mine. This week, I'm learning some covers and refining some of the recently-debuted material for another friendly song-circle and showcase taking place Friday as part of the San Francisco chapter of Songsalive!
