What do birds and frogs have to do with 2009, the Chinese Year of the Ox; the US year of breakthrough presidential inaugurals, as well as perhaps more global challenges to living than ever? I enjoyed an incredibly abundant past week of celebrating the holiday season with friends and family and snapped this little shot in Santa Cruz on the last morning of 2008. It seems to say what I'm wishing for you and the rest of the world: A green light go on luck, fertility and opportunity (frog) and happiness, communication and knowledge (bird).
